"What is God and what is law when you look at what people did to me as I cannot have children? But, because of what they did I need to see my authority; authority they say I have and I just can't have anyone in my family over me." This is the testimony of Herod. But, this is why it is spiritual. It is a crucifixion of sorts; a pain and thorn to bare but who says you are the only one? This is why it is spiritual. Who says Jesus was not a victim early on in life like Herod? But, unlike Herod, he was born into a particular family trained for 100's of generations in the matters of the law and the ministry of the Shekinah glory also known as the Holy Ghost. Herod may have been obsessed with Jesus who was not adorned with Herod's authority but who may have been a victim just like him and maybe more at ease with the unique experience of life and our simple purpose to forgive as you wish to be forgiven and in understanding this, Jesus, by accepting the deity we call Allah, Adonai or Buddha, had a sense of cover and protection instead of nakedness and shame; a sense of cover and protection that Herod may not have had although he had the authority but maybe not the peace of mind and thankfulness for the baby shoes or sandals and the people who gave them to him or the honor of the naked in safe and appropriate, loving procreational context or contentment that his simple citizen or citizens may have had as simple carpenters, Rabis, fishermen, law graduates who became product liability specialists or as Centurions. Jesus' ministry is that we are all victims somehow and that we all have to get along and the way to do it is to keep the commands; the ten commandments so that in spite of your experiences as a victim or your neighbour's experience we can have some quiet as we all try to enjoy what we can enjoy in this limited shared experience we endure in this world where more of us are determined it seems to be selfish terrorists than good neighbours, family and friends; or do you want to say youbjave a right to my wife and to do whatever you want to my property and you also want to be my neighbour and live next door to me yet I am not supposed to have a right to your wife or your property and you would expect that we could have peace. Who or what could you be in the evolutionary scheme of things with this unrelenting expectation in the year 2020? The native peoples of Africa and North America had family structures involving wives and Husbands but it seems the Bushman of the Kalahari may not have at the time Columbus put his imprint upon the world as late as the 1490's. If you are a person who is in agreement with the ten commandments except for the part about wives maybe it is because you have a unique determination like a Description Hephzibah to have children as your natural ability to do so was interrupted just like Herod's. Maybe you are a coastal or peripheral survivor of the great Egyptian,Israeli and Roman empires or the great Christian Crusade in Oklahoma last month and no one told you anything about wives but the woman you hugged up at 17 years old could be your sister and you had children and you work ot out and nobody is bothering you but you don't want to feel judged when you watch 90 day Fiance or the Bridal Dress Reality TV Show. You are a pretty good person. You don't bother anybody's property but you don't want anybody judging you about wives, husbands and marriage. You have lots of children somehow; like the Muslim people do who could be ancestrally Israeli or Coastal Palestinians; also known as the Jebusites and Amorites who were displaced by the people of Abraham and Jacob initially but who now are recognised as the gentiles, grafted in as true believers in the God of Abraham as Muslims or as Christians. The miracles of Christ may not have been soo miraculous to an ancient Israeli who knew Isaiah or Ezekiel but to these Jebusites coming up from the coast of Israel or from Goat Island or Coastal Venezuela, the wine concentrate in Jesus' satchel bag was just a miracle when celebrating a wedding in Israel as a new arrival and formerly peripheral population. How did he do that; turn that water into wine? How did he build such a neat table or vestibule as a carpenter? How did he work out such a cool legal defence totally within the purview of the laws? How did he work out an F15x that could fly all day on a fuel cell or municipal power generation system that keeps human waste out of the water and uses it to generate electricity by turning the waste into hydrogen or propane to power a fuel cell? Greater things than these, my friend, you will do!! Love God!! I am sure the Church would prefer that you respect your neighbour's property first and foremost and his wife before you worry about their theory on the believable miracles as maybe the workings partially of known civilizational technology in the Lord's ancestral and family knowledge while other miracles were just the power of God.
