The space shuttle did have this fuel cell and hydrogen fuel system wired to the back engines that were used for the shuttle's re-entry but the shuttle, it self, was not designed for deep space travel and nor was the XB-70 Valkyrie although orbiting MArs is possible or Venus since it gets very cold beyond that and I am sure they are designing something soon and nor was Warren A.
